I have the same problem: the icon in the systray disappears.
It happens reproducibly whenever Explorer is restarted!
Rarely do I do this intentionally. Sometimes it happens “automatically” without me knowing the reason. But that is surely another topic. Fact is that the icon is gone when the explorer is restarted!
Windows 10 x64 21H2
Comodo Internet Security 2020 v12.2.2.8012
I only installed Firewall
An Explorer restart does not populate all tray icons again which are normally visible after a normal Windows boot.
Restarting Explorer simply isn’t the same thing as restarting / rebooting Windows which initializes, among other things, all tray icons again.
When Explorer crashes then your system has become unstable and therefore you have to restart / reboot Windows.
Cmdagent runs as a “Service” not as an “Application” or “Process”.
You should find cmdagent listed among the other services on the “Services” tab of Task Manager.
I did. Thanks for that
The reason i asked is sometimes the GUI disappears from the tray. CIS exe is still running and just confirmed Cmdagent running too. Set to show icon and notifications.
I use Windows 7 64-bit too with CIS V12.2.2.8012 installed but I’ve never witnessed CIS tray icon disappearing from the tray, it’s always present on my end.
Sorry for the inconvenience, the systray icon of CIS disappears is an known issue and the team is working on it.
We will update you once it is fixed.
And Thanks CISfan for supporting.
excusez moi je ne parle pas très bien l’anglais, mais j’ai un souci avec mon icône de comodo qui disparait de la zone de notification il s’agit de comodo 12.2.2.8012 et de la base virale 34759.

For time being you could use this workaround by restarting the explorer.exe, then the CIS icon will appear.
