Comodo firewall service won't run with Windows memory integrity enabled

CIS version 11.0.0.6606. When memory integrity is enabled, the firewall driver will not load. Running CIS diagnostics does not help, and running Windows network troubleshooting does not fix the problem.

Memory integrity must be disabled for the firewall driver to load.

I have some Event logs:
The COMODO Internet Security Firewall Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
This driver has been blocked from loading

Error HTTP send to download.comodo.com/av/updates58/versioninfo.ini, error: 12007 Error Code: 0x80072ee7 (Unknown error 0x80072EE7)

The COMODO Internet Security Helper Driver service failed to start due to the following error:
This driver has been blocked from loading

Hi aweir14150,
Till Win 10 RS4 release Comodo was not HVCI compatible, which is disabled by default, and thus Microsoft put a block on Comodo driver.

Even if CIS v11 is HVCI compatible they have yet to remove the block. We are working with Microsoft’s compliance team and this should be rectified soon.

Thanks

Thank umesh, but since this is such a big problem, why couldn’t Comodo firewall 11 come with a warning during install to disable memory integrity and reboot before installing Comodo?

It’s the little things like this that hurt comodo’s image. Hindsight is 20/20

Microsoft can remove block any time and if we hard code, warning would not make sense unless we make it cloud based etc.
Considering it has been disabled on upgrades and yet not widely enabled by default in hardware, it has not been critical.

Thanks for input, will let you know as soon as block is off.

which, in short, begs the question- how are they assembling/testing their products that they are offering to us to begin with. Joe ■■■■ user gets this warning or that message…but-

There’s actually a method to test if a driver is HVCI compatable. Maybe comodo doesn’t know about it. The device guard readiness tool and the HyperVisor Code Integrity Readiness Test
