Why did yens fail? Yens are supposed to be the best. Did they find a bug that made yens fail?

Those are actually greatly improved results. CIS lost half a point in protection due to slightly lower static detection (however significantly improved from previous results). And CIS lost some on performance due to “slower copying of files locally and on a network” on a high end pc for some reason, may be a performance bug or something. If CIS didn’t have that 107% slowdown in that category would have scored roughly 5.5 or 6 points. And false positive rates are declining as well.
I’m sure Melih will be along in a minute or two to tell you that detection is old hat. No malware detection method can ever be 100% effective because they can only detect malware they recognise or which appears to be malware-like, zero-day malware will often get through because it’s not recognised.
Comodo’s containment technology changes the focus from detection to, well, containment. All unknown processes run in containment from where they have no access to real resources and from where they can do no harm. Containment will protect you against zero-day malware because it’s always contained.
