security considerations
There are unknown components in iexplorer.exe that require approval before proceeding
click “show libraries” to investigate
libraries:
microsoft UX theme libarary
I do not have themes installed, and do not want microsofts theme library with its security holes running on my machine. When I click “deny”, the page stops loading, and no other page will load until I close the current window, and re-open another…which loads fine until I deny the same pop-up.
I use the “ask me every time” option, but it only asks me ONCE before stopping traffic, and not authorizing any further access until I open another window.
did you recently install the latest MS hotfixes? If so, those updates will cause these “library” pop-ups to occur, since the updates will change several of them. The one you mention looks familiar to me, having seen it immediately after installing the patches. It is best in this case to “accept and remember” the changed components after selecting the “Show Libraries” button.
No, I never install the ■■■■■■ ms fixes…Not only do they not fix the holes, but
They cause my machine to slow down miserably, every time I install them.
–I just stay on dial-up so I can’t get “as” hacked.
Comodo will not let me browse the web ever since I have “denied” this…
I have searched every option page and every option throughout Comodo firewall, and I still cannot get online with comodo installed (ever since I had “denied” access to this operation). I needed to “exit comodo firewall” just to get to this page to report the error.
Oh well;
I uninstalled comodo AV due to its inability to complete scanning my hard drive, even though I have no problems with mcaffee, norton corporate, avg, nor kapersky.
Bye comodo!
