We are happy to announce that COMODO Disk Encryption 1.2.114847.152 has been released.
What is new?
The tool creates an ISO image with the encryption settings on a desired location in your hard drive. You can burn a CD from this ISO image to obtain a Rescue Boot CD. The user may create the Rescue image on any computer where CDE is installed using the backup encryption settings file.
With this tool the user is able to format the virtual encrypted drives with appropriate file system settings (file system type, volume label, and cluster size).
•Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 compatibility.
•The ability to update even if the user has encrypted partitions.
What was fixed?
•External USB disks defect: after restart, the external encrypted hard disks are not accessible in windows explorer.
•Windows Vista service pack 1 issue: after updating to Vista service pack 1 if the system partition is encrypted the computer will not boot, because Vista’s service pack 1 overwrites the first track (first 63 sectors on the primary disk).
•Unable to add encrypted partition after reboot: after removing the latest encrypted partition from the secondary disk, the user will not be able to add any encrypted partition from that secondary disk.
•Dynamic disk numeration defect: windows OS may number the physical disks in any other order than BIOS numbering during startup.
•Virtual drive unmount operation failed
•BSOD while memory disc creation
•Windows XP cannot restart if the Virtual Drive was created in memory
•Can’t safely remove USB drive when CDE is starting
•BSOD during physical encrypted disk formatting
•Unable to perform action “Remove encrypted partition”
•There is possibility update CDE to oldest version
