Comodo Controlled By Threatfire

I have been using Threatfire free (PC Tools) for some time now and I’ve disabled CIS’s real time protection.

I recently discovered a setting on Threatfire which states “We recommend leaving the following unchecked for better compatibility with other 3rd party security software” which is referring to this setting {Register Threatfire in Windows Security Center}

When I unchecked the {Register Threatfire in Windows Security Center} setting, winduhs alerted me that Comodo firewall had been disabled etc etc…

My Comodo firewall shows to be in safe mode, and defense + shows to be in safe mode, yet winduhs still shows no firewall protection. I restarted to see if this would change the situation and that’s a negative.

Thoughts?

Hey, Try running a new program that connects to the internet to see if you get an alertt from comodo firewall.

Btw- Are you running both Defense+ and threatfire? You don’t need to run both… Defense+ provides better security but threatfire is more user friendly. If you are comfortable with defense+ then you are better off.

Yes defense + is on in combination with Threatfire.

I am still receiving winduhs notifications that Comodo Antivirus is turned off, please click here for details.

Note: I have real time virus scanner on CIS turned off (I was under the impression it need not be on with threatfire on).

Hello, There is no need to run threat fire and DefensE+ at the same time. Defense+ is more solid that threatfire but it uses more pop-ups. They ar both great apps, but you should only use one or the other.
