Hi

Thank you for reporting the problem,
We will investigate the issue…

Hi,

A few questions about CBU 2:

  1. Is it possible to edit the paths, filters etc for a scheduled backup? How?
  2. If I have a non-scheduled backup, how can I access it again without having to recreate the profile?
  3. Is it possible to enable/disable a profile like in CBU 1?

Thanks!

Comodo backup crashes when ‘check for updates’ is clicked

Hi markcs

This is on the wishlist and will hopefully be included in a version soon.

This is being investigated and will be fixed in an upcoming update.

John

This is not possible yet, but you can delete and recreate the scheduled backup.

Please be more specific… what do you mean by “profile”?

Thank you

CIS, VE
Windows Vista Ultimate SP2
Tried the upgrade option within Backup and Backup stopped working.
Attempted this twice.

Hi
This issue will be fixed in the next release.

Thank you

Hi! By “profile” I mean a specific backup task, with all the settings of that backup task.

ie

2. If I have a non-scheduled backup, how can I access it again without having to recreate the profile?
What I mean is, how can I re-run the exact same backup without having to recreate the backup profile/task from the beginning (as in CBU1).
3. Is it possible to enable/disable a profile like in CBU 1?
What I mean is, is it possible to enable/disable a specific backup task like in CBU 1. this way I can have them defined in CBU, and run them manually when I want to. Or I can disable certain backup tasks that I do not want to run for some reason. For example, if I take my laptop with me on vacation, I will not want it to try to backup to my backup server. But I will want to keep the same profile so that when I get home, I can just enable it again.

Sorry for the confusion. Hope that makes sense now.

Hi

Yes, you can create a specific task to run it whenever you want. Just create a scheduled task to run ‘Manually’ and you can run it with right click.
To enable/disable a scheduled task you can edit it and change the schedule setting from ‘daily’, ‘monthly’, etc to ‘manually’.

Thank you

First off I’m running x64 Vista with no other software.

I found a couple of issues while trying to set up a backup to a ftp server (adrive.com in case it matters).

Issue # 1: When you pick the directory on the ftp server to back up to it comes up with a error message saying invalid path. I tried just a folder named “test” but it complained about that as well. It doesn’t seem to matter what directory you pick it just won’t let you pick a “valid” path.

Issue # 2: If you go to create a new folder on the ftp server it says “Please provide a password”. It still will create the folder though if you provide a “password”.

Hi

This is because you must provide a name for the backup file (CBU file)
If you select only a folder, without providing a name you get this message.

Thank you

This looks like a bug.
We can’t reproduce this yet.
Please describe the steps to reproduce it.

Thank you

OS : Windows 2008 Server 64bit with UAC ON
Other software: none

I don’t know if it supposed to work on Server 2008, but i’m trying it and getting this error all the time when i try to schedule a job (see the picture).

Hi

RC5 is not compatible with Server 2008, but the next release will be fully-compatible with Server 2008.
