Hi, I understand that what is discussed here is all a waste of time, and the easiest way to solve not solve the problem is to install a new version of anti-virus, there is simply no other way!
No doubt, You mean other anti-virus, no other way. With all the rest - agree. To ask for help from Comodo is a waste of time.
Not so bad, but thatâs about the old version you can forget, with the new version until I have one problem, itâs what she eats 500 MB of RAM, but otherwise all is well.
500 MB Ram !!
This is very easy to solve ! Just by new computer with 64 GB ram !
But if I have computer with 2GB ram ? Or 1 GB ram? Obviously I am unable to buy a new computer.
What then? I suppose i have to go to shut myself , because the Market and the modern world does not need not rich people.
Seems Comodo goes the way of AVG.
AVG suddenly ended support and updates of old version and proposed a very heavy new version.
But some time after that AVG changed their policy and returned the updates for old versions.
In my opinion they did this return too late. AVG undergone serious loss of popularity since then I think. And I doubt it will reach the previous trust of users.
Will Comodo be so wise?
To not stop updates for old versions and not lose users trust?
The current database format is the one that is also used in v5.1x. Comodo is still supporting the database for v4. People who are using v5.1x are still able to update and will be able to in the future in case the database format would change (there are no plans known to us that the format is to be changed by the way).
In common, youâre right, mein freund, but there is such a thing as a principiality. I donât want to be forcibly transplanted to a different version of product, which is suggested to me. If the company, I respect, not only spoils doesnât repair the program, not only doesnât explain why she does it doesnât do it, but totally ignores the fact itself - I have good reason not to want moving to the next version of its product. I suppose.
Excellent speech! Something it reminds me! Oh, yeah, from a one country politics: âGuys, you are well, you just feel that you have something bad. Letâs bring some more democracy to the world!â
I really did not want to abuse anybody, but, men, there must be some limits of this insanity? Dozens of people rubbed corn on their tongues arguing that the program does NOT updating! Official, with no hesitation, says that there is no problem.
ShameâŚ

I also tried to prove that they have tried everything that was in this subject and did not help, for which he wrote that ignoring it is not a solution, and so to this day just talking about, I still do not understand the meaning of the topic!
The problem is not with the format no longer being supported. I was responding to the post of ialtaparmakov.
ĐĐ, may be I didnât understand You right, but in Your answer You several times used words âableâ. In fact, all of them must be renamed to âunableâ. Thatâs a point.
And yes, Iâm also tired of such a senseless discussion, and my behavior seems to become a trolling, what I would extremely like to avoid.
Comodo Team, please, finish our suffering, answer - would you help us with v.5xx working update or not? And letâs left it behind. So, be a men - YES or NO?
+1
totally agree!
Already the fourth day of silence, but it seems to me that nobody cares? :o
Roger that, colleague, but Iâd replace the word âbutâ with a word âandâ. There is no irrationality, it seems that everything is clear and logical. We donât deserve attention of Comodo. I stop using their products.
Thanx, Comodo!
P.S. So, who knows, how is it possible to remove own account from this forum? Donât see any wish or need to be here.
Hi Ramses XIII,
We do not allow deletion/removal of user accounts.
Kind regards.
The reason why we ignore here! No more sense to write here!
Ha-ha-ha!!! ;D :-TU Your kind regards are really cool in such circumstances!
Of course, I didnât ask for deletion/removal my account by myself! I ask You, as a Comodo Team members, to help and remove/delete my account by yourself. Why do you need an account of disappointed in you user, who, besides, not only will not continue to use your new products, but will dissuade from it all around?
And, just after all, it will be unpleasant for me. And I donât want to be a troll.
Agreed? Please, do it. Or Youâre not capable even to this?
Set/game for me 8). As I wrote before - weâre here just as Anonymous Alcoholics, no more, no doubt⌠;D
P.S. Interesting, what fairy tales will Comodo Support tell about the v.5xx broken update? 88) ;D Probably, worth to try!
Hi Ramses XIII,
It is not a matter of whether or not I am capable of deleting your user account, it is just not something we do.
I can offer to disable your account if you want, but nothing more.
Under almost any circumstances, I still send my kind regards.
I send a pm to BuketB and got word that the problem has been sent to development department.
This is what is idiocy, but Iâm not surprised, because now so do all the support, the maximum pull time and do not recognize the problem, I replied support on site and the proposed solutions are also not helped me, now I understand that it is banging his head against the wall my conclusion, a good anti-virus, unless of course it works, but in general itâs a free software that you want, how much to pay and work, as I wrote earlier, the only solution to remove and install the latest version of any change to a different anti-virus!
EricJH et al,
This machine is a dedicated PC used by my Mom, but isolated from the home networks (other modern PCs, laptops and tablets). This machine used to run Avira 12.x AV and Comodo 5.10.x Firewall. Both are free products. Now, hereâs what I did in the March end of 2015:
- Trashed the latest Avira AV because itâs killing this PC (hogging)
- Downloaded Comodo 5.10.x and 5.12.x Internet Security suites.
- Installed Comodo 5.10.x Internet Security - AV update fails
- Uninstalled Comodo 5.10.x Internet Security
- Installed Comodo 5.12.x Internet Security - AV update fails
During the above process (2 days/nights), about 1GB dowloads happened. But no result.
I read this long thread â should I proceed with manual download route?
We always use machines with {Limited User Accounts}. Whatâs the point in opting for manual update route if Comodo AV doesnât work under such an account? Could anyone confirm?
Thank you.
ps: canât retire this PC; sentimental to her; canât upgrade either from XP SP3 (old HW). But still works like a charm since many yearsâŚ
Confirmed I use a LUA account always have and never done otherwise even for installing apps.
