theres bean a issue with my machine last night… i was doing a dual boot with ubuntu and made a mistake with the swap partition and i’ve kill the xp partiton…
after 2h re-installing a fresh xp and dual booting it with ubuntu i’ve let cis scan (first scan after updated) and it took about 2h.30 (?) to scan nearly 392k files… i think thats ok considering my config:
XP Pro sp3 (xp cd was updates inserted until January 2010), 3GB Ram, SO hdd 320GB, Data hdd 500GB (about 200GB of data in it), common software used install.
heurs on high in all scans, max size file set to 1024MB (because of p2p downloaded games), proactive security (custom after setting it). AV set to on access.
ericJH is that ok for scanning speed? i left the machine updating today so after it’s fully update i shall scan away to check if hangs or the scan time comes down.
