COMODO A/V Blocking Dvd Flick - spumux (D+)

Yes Hello,
I use the COMODO AV and I would like to report a problem I’m having with it, I using DVD FLICK to Encode VIDEO FILES to DVD. When ever DVD FLICK gets ready to burn what it has encoded it runs a batch file named “spumux” in which opens IMGBURN. But theirs a small problem here… COMODO D+ is blocking the batch file from doing anything, even know the file isn’t bad.

I’ve used DVD FLICK for a long time, I’ve never had a problem with having any kind of virus or spyware injected into my OS FILES or FOLDERS. So this spunmux file is safe, please update your software to fix this issue if all possible.

Hi,TallZilla87

Thanks for reporting.
Could you please submit the detected file at
Comodo Firewall | Get Best Personal Firewall Software for $29.99 A Year.

Try giving DVD Flick the Installer/Updater policy and move it from Unrecognised Files to Trusted Files.

Further remove all instances of spumux.exe and spumux.bat from Unrecognised Files.

How would I do that?

Try giving DVD Flick the Installer/Updater policy:
Defense+ → Computer Security Policy → Add → select .exe file and choose Use a Predefined Policy: Installer or Updater->Apply->OK.

Move it from Unrecognised Files to Trusted Files:
Defense+ ->Unrecognized Files-> select files with checkboxes->Move to->Trusted Files->Close.

Remove all instances of spumux.exe and spumux.bat from Unrecognised Files:
Defense+ ->Unrecognized Files-> select files with checkboxes->Remove->Close.

Is that correct? I set everything in the software bin folder to trusted.

You’re also going to want to change the spumux.bat file to Installer or Updater.

Okay, I did that. I just hope it doesn’t block the software ever again.

I do not wanna buy Convert X To Dvd - When Dvd Flick is free.

Anyways thanks for showing me how to set D+, I’ve been using Comodo for a while now being its better then Norton 2011 I/S - A/V. Funny how things work nowadays… XD

Tested and works now. Thanks
