Bonjour Messieurs,
Xcitium software has few bugs and delivery problems, unlike Comodo CIS.
A priori, the same development teams work on Xcitium and Comodo.
Why the difference? That’s a real question.
The latest version 12.3.4.8162 of Comodo CIS is unfortunately a confirmation of this state of affairs.
Given the chaotic history of Comodo CIS over the past few years, the question of the software’s longevity arises. CIS users use it to protect their PCs, so they need to have confidence in the software and know that it will last.
I think it’s urgent that Xcitium takes an open position on Comodo CIS and makes it known.
Either Xcitium loses interest in Comodo CIS and considers the software to be a problem for Xcitium. In this case it will be necessary to officially announce the end of the development of the software.
@melih has regularly stated that he wants everyone to be able to protect their PCs and that CIS is the solution. Has this position changed?
Either Xcitium decides to manage Comodo CIS professionally and put an end to the current chaotic management.
This is, of course, the solution that current CIS users want.
In this case, CIS support will have to be organised and resources made available.
Resources have a cost. So I think it’s quite possible for CIS to be a paid software.
To stick with @melih’s approach, this would mean an affordable price for users. An affordable price multiplied by tens of thousands of users should make it possible to provide professional support. The reliability and stability of the product will attract new users.
If this paid solution is chosen, Xcitium will commit to managing CIS professionally, as publishers such as Bitdefender, Kaspersky and others do with their software.
In the hope of your response,
Sincères salutations.
