Thanks for the answer.
I know this, so I ask.

There are not only microsoft addresses. ( also akamai )

I asked. Why cmdinstall.exe needed a connection to this address.?

P.S. CIS set.
This connection with internet beginning starts after power on PC.

:THNK

also akamai ips that microsoft using it for windows update distiribution you can ask questions in main cis release thread may be devs or mods answer it but ı remember this questions already asked and answered

Then show me this topic, where is this question about this problem.

How do Comodo processes and applications relate to updating Windows?
Maybe this message is for him what is installed CIS?

You can create rules for cmdinstall.exe and check where he wants to connect.

There are numerous topics and questions about Akamai connections going back years - just use the Search function on the forum

Probably one of the most helpful and explanatory here: https://forums.comodo.com/firewall-help-cis/who-is-akamai-technologies-t87125.0.html;msg694733#msg694733

Edit: As for Microsoft - the answer is probably ‘Windows’ unless one of the Devs gives some programming insight into it. But I certainly wouldn’t consider it a security risk
