Report it in the Bug Thread then, welcome to the forums/community by the way. ;D

Please check the Defense+ logs to see if it’s run in the Sandbox.

If so put the executable on the “My Safe Files” list and reboot then see if it works like expected, and that the log no longer shows it “sandboxed”.

For Windows Updates, it should not interfere, can you please expand more about that’s failing?
