When I first installed the new version, it failed to initialize. I rebooted and it worked the second time but it used 100% of my CPU. I was forced to roll back to v8. I’m on Windows 7 64-bit.
Don’t know if it matters but, Sandbox (don’t remember the new name) & Viruscope were disabled and HIPS enabled.
default configuration?
which process?
constant CPU usage?
Yes, everything was default settings except what I mentioned.
I didn’t look at what processes were effected, my Intel app showed the CPU was maxed for roughly 5 minutes.
Event Viewer reports:
cistray.exe’ (pid 2700) cannot be restarted - Application SID does not match Conductor SID…
Event ID: 10010
Source: RestartManager
This caused a cascade of 28 other failures related to the RestartManager that followed directly after the initial cistray.exe failure. There are no other errors before the cistray failure, for today.
After reverting back to CIS v8, all the errors disappeared and the computer is back to normal.
CIS did create a crash report but didn’t ask me to send it to Comodo.
