CIS Update Problem

Dear all,
I just installed CIS 5. Everything is ok, except it won’t connect for update. The progress bar popup you normally see would flash on and off screen very quickly before reporting that it failed to update.

A check done by clicking the diagnostic button did not report anything wrong. But clicking the Check for Updates button in the More tab reported Error 0x80072efd.

Actually, before trying out CIS 5, I had CIS 4 installed. CIS 4 was aslo giving me the same problems. So I decided to see if CIS 5 would be good.

Any advice ?

For v5 there are no updates of course. I would suggest to try a clean install of CIS. First uninstall CIS and reboot. Then run the clean up tool from the sticky topic and try again.
