CIS_Setup_3.13.121240.574_XP_Vista_x32 Fails Stealth Mode

I have been using Comodo CIS for sometime … I can barely remember the v2 does a good job at stealthing ports, but this current version seems to have fail the test. Check your ports security here:

https://grc.com/x/ne.dll?bh0bkyd2
->Proceed->All Service Ports->
Then you will see your open ports…

I have done the following in CIS:
Firewall->Stealth Ports Wizard->Block All incoming connections and stealth my ports to everyone else->Finish. CIS replied that i have successfully configureg the firewall. Then I go to above to check again. fails. I would expect all ports to be shown GREEN.

Done above setting and then restarted PC and check ports again, same failure.

On the same note:
Question: Is the setting in CSI permanent of temporary? 'Cos When I click on the same tab again, it always shows a dialog with the Define a new trusted network… thingy. Should it not highlight the current setting?

You are behind a router?
Mine is all stealth.

If you are connecting through a router, GRC is testing the router and not your PC. You need a direct connection to test your firewall.

Or set up a DMZ in your router. Your router’s documentation should tell you how to do this.

As for the setting, yes, the setting is permanent. However, the radio button resets to the first option. I don’t know why it does this as it is very counter-intuitive. You can double check the settings by looking at Firewall → Advanced → Network Security Policy → Global Rules.
