CIS needs to be improved

CIS needs to be improved:

  • Defense+ need to ask if unknown application can be run (it’s dangerous to allow its run)

  • Antivirus need to scan e-mail (IMAP, POP, SMTP)

  • Antivirus: extremely large subscriber base (+ 100MB)

  • Often makes antivirus processor at 100%

  • Antivirus is not scanning the cache Firefox 4

  • Antivirus is not blocking the dangerous sites in Internet Explorer 8 (is allowing them to be loaded)

  • Antivirus makes certain applications become very slow (eg disk defragmenter)

  • GMER (anti rootkit) causes system crash because the CIS

Thanks

It should when a program starts another program. If it doesn’t there is something not right with your specific installation. Please start a help topic.

- Antivirus need to scan e-mail (IMAP, POP, SMTP)
Comodo does not believe in shields; web, mail, IM, p2p etc. When it gets detected once it hits memory or disk is still early enough. There is/are already wishes for that. Please feel free to add support there too.
Antivirus: extremely large subscriber base (+ 100MB)
A big pain for dial up users indeed.
- Often makes antivirus processor at 100%
In what scenario(s)?

[quote]- Antivirus is not scanning the cache Firefox 4/quote]

- Antivirus is not blocking the dangerous sites in Internet Explorer 8 (is allowing them to be loaded)
What do you want to be done about this?
- Antivirus makes certain applications become very slow (eg disk defragmenter)
Please consider filing a bug report on this. That would greatly help Comodo.
GMER (anti rootkit) causes system crash because the CIS
Please also consider filing a bug report on this. That would greatly help Comodo.

No when a program starts another program. It’s when a simple unknown program starts.

When run defragmenter for example or anytime.

That CIS does not allow the suspect site to load.

No when a program starts another program. It's when a simple unknown program starts.
If it's on the whitelist or on your whitelist, it will be automatically allowed; If not on either you'll be prompt'd
When run defragmenter for example or anytime.
Make sure you add The defragmenter to exclusions in both AV and Defense+(As Trusted Application)
That CIS does not allow the suspect site to load.
This isn't a firewall issue; it's a browser issue
Antivirus is not scanning the cache Firefox 4/
I believe it is; If it has been changed (if Checksum hasn't changed then it won't be scanned again via Stateful)
GMER (anti rootkit) causes system crash because the CIS
Was GMER added to exclusions to both ShellCodeInjection/Defense+(Trusted App)/AV?

It’s no in whitelist. Is unknown application and no prompt appears.
