CIS is slowing down computer after some days uptime [NBZ]

The bug/issue

  1. What you did:
    Using my computer as “normal”.

  2. What actually happened or you actually saw:
Everything is slowing down, small freezes all the time. cmdagent.exe is getting 200 hard faults/sec. With D+ on I get alot of errors like Perfmon in eventvwr and crashing firefox. Without D+ activated I (for now) only get general slowdown.

  3. What you expected to happen or see:
Computer working as normal when CIS is not installed.

  4. How you tried to fix it & what happened:
Tried several clean installs, reinstalls of OS, tried Vista and W7.

  5. If its an application compatibility problem have you tried the application fixes here?:

  1. Details & exact version of any application (execpt CIS) involved with download link:
  1. Whether you can make the problem happen again, and if so exact steps to make it happen:
Install CIS, have everything activated and running. Wait about 2 days of uptime.

  2. Any other information (eg your guess regarding the cause, with reasons):
    Related thread, and maybe

Files appended. (Please zip unless screenshots).

  1. Screenshots illustrating the bug:
  1. Screenshots of related CIS event logs and the Defense+ Active Processes List:
  1. A CIS config report or file.
  1. Crash or freeze dump file:

Your set-up

  1. CIS version, AV database version & configuration used:
    AV 8349

  2. a) Have you updated (without uninstall) from CIS 3 or 4:

    b) if so, have you tried a clean reinstall (without losing settings - if not please do)?:

  3. a) Have you imported a config from a previous version of CIS:

    b) if so, have U tried a standard config (without losing settings - if not please do)?:

  4. Have you made any other major changes to the default config? (eg ticked ‘block all unknown requests’, other egs here.):
Disabled D+ to get less problems.
Disabling AV gets less hard faults.

  5. Defense+, Sandbox, Firewall & AV security levels: D+= Safe, Sandbox=Enabled , Firewall = Safe, AV = Stateful

  6. OS version, service pack, number of bits, UAC setting, & account type:
    W7 SP1, 64 bits, UAC off, Admin.

  7. Other security and utility software installed:
    MBAM Pro

  8. Virtual machine used (Please do NOT use Virtual box):

Do you need anything more?

Otherwise i will uninstall CIS because i can’t “use” my computer.
