CIS Antivirus beats Kaspersky and Norton

That article and test are from September 2010.

Keyloggers column is missing though…

Right. Actually I do test CIS but mainly the HIPS and sandbox component. It,s done randomly whenever I find some interesting malware and I have spare time and I do post my results here if there are any leaks.

All this bickering over something silly. Simply, don’t rely solely on the AV and you will have 100% protection.

Comodo :-TU

That’s why along with CIS v5 I use sandboxie and MBAM real time. It’s pretty secure. I’m pretty happy with the setup and its fairly light.

My favourite combo is CIS+Panda URL Filter+Sendori DNS.

Other than the fact I use Norton DNS, that’s the same combo I’m running right now, and I’m loving it as well.

About the test on the OP video, the test should have done under the same conditions for all tests. KAV and Norton were in virtual machines while comodo wasn’t. I’m not saying that would change the results, but its the correct method.

Anyway, i was kinda shocked at the Norton fiasco there… Geez. Thing is, in the late 90s, Norton was actually the best around. Now, it is a victim of its success. Malware is tailored to defeat it. It is a risk to have a PC protected by it.

Also strange was that Kaspersky failed at finding some malware at the first pass and even “thought” the user choose to ignore the alert! That is not as bad as Norton but pretty bad itself.

Avast is also not resistant to the same rojan which uninstalled norton

Avira Antivir Premium + Comodo Firewall, Defense++ Zemana AntiLogger + MalwareBytes AntiMalware Pro + Clear Cloud DNS + İobit Advanced System Care 4

CIS, Sandboxie and MBAM realtime.

Hello what is Panda Url filter, is it freeware?

Thanks

Yes.
Download and install it from here (http://free.pandasecurity.com/).
If you don’t want the toolbar component, just remove it through Add/Remove Programs Windows applet.

Note:although it’s digitally signed,Comodo refuses to whitelist Visicom company.
You wil get a pop up during installation.
Next, add its’ .exe to Trusted files manually and define it as Installer.

Ok thanks, will give it a try.
