there is a very interesting test on youtube.
“Languy” tests the new Norton 2012 and kaspersky 2012.
Look at the video:
At the end of the test, “Languy” compares the detection rate to COMODO Antivirus.-
It beats Kaspersky 13% and Norton about 20%.
Apart from “many false positives” CIS has got the highest detection.

You can’t judge which one is better based on a single test…
Anyone can make a different one with opposite results…
Tip: check out how many samples I submit every day in “Submit Malware Here To Be Blacklisted - 2011” topic and most of them are already detected by Avira/Avast/Kaspersky…

But then, empty norton… 
If it’s so great it would have been tested by AV comparatives and av-test. :-\
I rather trust something I can see for myself than something I don’t in some PDF text…
