At the moment I have 118 unknowns, it’s been more than 1 month
On Windows 10 Home 64bits, I got an error message during the installation : [
“This Installation Does Not Support the Target Platform”
How can I fix this error in order to install CIS Premium 2025 ?
Since Comodo isn’t making much money with CIS any more, and I’ve heard it’s “almost” free software, why not make it completely Open Source?
A community would form and it would progress much faster. Particularly when it comes to fixing bugs…
Hi Baltazar1 !
Have you tried Comodo CIS before on the same Windows?
Are there any problems with your system?
Varan,
I’m not sure if I already installed CIS before on this computer, it could be, but not sure.
There is no troubles on my system.
Maybe I need to disable Windows Firewall.
Is there a way to contact Comodo Team ?
Occasionally, Comodo categorizes pre-whitelisted programs as unrecognized, causing annoyance but no harm to the programs. Select the unrecognized list and execute the purge and lookup actions.
Hi Baltazar1 !
No, don’t disable the firewall!
Comodo CIS does this itself if the installation is working properly…
Yes, of course… you can try contacting them here :
Let us know if you get a reply
Because Xcitium is using same codebase so if they share CIS’s source code they share Xcitium’s one automatically. And Xcitium making too much money.
I hear that Xcitium’s EDR is open source.
And i dont think that “community will fix bugs much faster” because i think just a few people will try to fix the bugs. Since Comodo’s number of users is low, and just few of them are software developers.
I was talking in my previous message about Windows Firewall and not Comodo FW
Comodo support is only for paid Comodo programs, not for free as CIS Premium
In the meantime… many have given up because not many people at Comodo deal with bugs…
Right now, it’s like wishful thinking… whereas with Open Source, people would know that finally it can be solved…
that changes everything!
Personally… I’d like to try paying for the Xcitium version of Comodo CIS to see if the bugs are gone…
Does anyone know if the Xcitium equivalent of Comodo CIS has removed the bugs?
I have the paid version and often get no response either
Im using Xcitium rn and there is no bugs (just firewall driver problem but it can be fixed with “FIX IT” button so…
I did not encounter any bugs when using Comodo Internet Security (Free) too.
Xcitium and CIS is nearly same but with some extra features (and bug fixes maybe) but Valkyrie is very very good.
Hello Lexylixi !
Thank you very much for the answer.
How much does Xcitium CIS cost per PC per year?
Thanks for your support Varan.
Hope that one here can offer a solution to this ■■■■■■ error when installing CIS Premium
Xcitium Client Security Advanced is 84.99 dollars for a year. For a 1 user.
EDR is 44 dollars for a year. For a 1 user.
Valkyrie Premium (there is trial version too and free for 1 years) is 15 dollars for a year and 5 users (the lowest option is 5 users.)
So if you ask what is the difference between Valkyrie Trial (Free) and Premium, there is nearly no difference.
Just you cant send to human expert in trial.
In premium you can send files to human expert and you can download a report of the file by human expert.
In trial they send your files to human expert too (automatically) but the process is much slower i think (its still fast tho).
Hello friend, I always do this several times during the day but it is still not reliable, I believe it is still being analyzed by Valkyrie, which is very slow to give a verdict.
From what is posted on the Xcitium forum stating that the bug was fixed, I believe that the developers are focusing more on Xcitium.
On the Xcitium forum, several topics have been raised talking about bug fixes and improvements.
How is Xcitium AEP(Client Security) doing on ur system is it better then CIS?
It has some bugs on my computer (major:about updating, minors: xcitium forum enrolling spam problem and firewall driver problem(false alarm that saying “Firewall Driver disabled” but its actually enabled and “FIX IT” button dont doing anything. )).;
but yes its good actually.
I cant see much difference between CIS and Xcitium AEP in terms of protection.
But like i said Valkyrie is very good.
Im still testing Xcitium against new malwares and i can say that antivirus’s heuristic needs to be improved. Even in high heuristic scanning setting.
If you do not experience any errors with Comodo Internet Security you can stay in CIS you will not lose anything much.
