checking for updates for Windows Defender

Not able to check for updates on many of my protective software programs. IE will not connect either- most programs suggest firewall is problem. I do not understand settings for COMODO firewall program Urgent help needed!

Please open up Network Security Policy under the Firewall tab of the Comodo GUI and take a screen shot of your Global and Application rules and post as a reply to this thread.

It’s impossible to diagnosis your problem without more information.
