CFP not disabling XP sp2's firewall during install

I just installed CFP 3.0.15.277 on my main PC running XP pro 32bit. The install completed without problems and everything seems to be as it should except XP’s firewall is still enabled. I found a post that states CFP will disable windows firewall during the install, see link.

I know I can just disable windows firewall but it seems strange that CFP did not disable windows firewall as the above post states. So far I’m very impressed with CFP, its hard to believe its free.

Not to worry, they can run simultaneously…which isn’t much of a surprise since XP Firewall is really nothing more than a pretty icon.

Doesn’t disable the Windows Vista firewall either, although it should. Go ahead and disable it, though, since it can conflict with some of your CFP3 rules.
