I downloaded CCE 64-bit to my computer recently.
My 1st run was with the “Full” option. It worked up to 17%, and about 250,000 items scanned, but then it disappeared from my screen without any warning or report.
My 2nd run was with the “Custom” option. It worked up to 22%, and about 380,000 items scanned, but again it disappeared from my screen without any warning or report. In the custom option, I unchecked two extra HDDs in my computer.
For both runs, CCE appeared to stop while scanning the Registry, or just prior to scanning my drives.
For both runs, I checked “Taskmanager” and I confirmed that CCE was no longer running. For my 1st run, I tried it both logged-in as a “User”, and logged-in as “Administrator” – but there was no difference.
I am running 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium on a SSD. My primary data is on a 3TB HDD with the GPT partition style. I am running “Microsoft Security Essentials” (MSE).
Please help! Am I doing something wrong? Will CCE not work with SSDs or HHDs with GPT? Do I need to turn-off my MSE antivirus program? Or, is CCE supposed to end without any warning or report, and we just look at the log?
