CCE immediately exists scan

CCE starts both normally and with shift button pressed.

I select Smart scan or custom scan then proceed.

cce starts scanning, flashes a screen showing a big green ball and ‘objects scanned’ for less than a second, I can’t see what else it says, then exits every time, even after rebooting and re-attempt.

Other security software: (awesome) Comodo Firewall, AVG AV (disabled before starting CCE).

Windows XP SP3.

I do not suspect any malware, but trying cce for the first time.

Logs are all the same as follows:

I too noticed this sudden behaviour on my XP SP3 32 Bits system but not on 7 64.

I am little busy but will later try by finding & deleting files related to CCE, if any exists, & will uncompress again & check.

Please try uninstalling AVG to see if that is interfering.

May be the prob was due to the last database update. Coz it updated again i.e database update was there & after that the prob is solved here.

What database are you talking about? From CCE or AVG?

CCE Virus Database.

I dont have any AV or security software installed except Windows FW enabled.

I am the OP.

The Antivirus component is the only AVG component I have installed with AVG. AVG is disabled before starting CCE.

I tried a custom scan again just minutes before posting this. I see one object being scanned, then CCE shuts down again without warning or message.

One of my XP, SP3, 32 bit machines is having a problem with the same symptoms as the OP.

Attached is a dump file (disguised with a .txt extension) from CCE created during one of the “crashes”. Can someone provide assistance or offer advice on how to fix this?

I am again facing this prob. Time to time this prob is reoccouring. Dont know whats the reason?
