CCE boot scans failing.

Hi there,

After some faffing I was able to boot my Win 7 laptop from a Comodo Rescue Disk (external CD), and update the virus definitions from bases.cav on a USB.
Unfortunately neither the Full Scan nor the Custom Scan will run properly when I try to start them. In both graphical and text modes I click skip when it tries to update, and it immediately goes straight back to the menus which include the choice of scans.

Help would be much appreciated.
