CAS will not finalize once installed XP

I am running XP Pro with SP3; on install and uninstall a little box above autorun pos and say in will no longer autostart on startup. The problem is that it never starts up. A tech was able to get it to run by starting it as a stndalone program.

I have uninstalled all my autostart progrms, leaving only dropbox, mstag, norton ghost 9, adobe updater and notes holder.

Any help would be appreciated
