CAS and Outlook 2002 conflict

my Outlook 2002 & CAS 2.6 has Social Issues

I installed CAS 2.6
Imported Outlook contacts so far so good

Conflict with settings and I allowed CAS to change settings

Outlook Crash…system ok only Outlook
Outlook Crash…system ok only Outlook
Outlook Crash…system ok only Outlook

Opened CAS, turned off challenge response

Outlook Crash…system ok only Outlook
Outlook Crash…system ok only Outlook

Opened up CAS and removed email addy

Started Outlook again

Sent a test email, it went fine without CAS running
Opened up CAS and imported email addy
Conflict with settings and it will not allow me to click NO do not alter settings.
WTF? ???
All POP3 and SMTP settings are correct…

Outlook 2002 - SP3
CAS 2.6, (I uninstalled SpamBayes)
AV is AVG 8.5 I had Email settings turned off and AVG was shutdown.
Firewall is Comodo

Forgot to add…

One last try
Added email back, allowed the change to settings.
I got a send receive error the last time:
Connection to server interrupted.

I have the time setting at 10 minutes.

Removed the email addy from CAS again
Started Outlook again
Sent another test email
Test email worked fine.

So far, CAS is a pain in my (*)

I need help please.
It is probably a result of the I.D. Ten Error (I D 1 0 T user error)

It looks like a good proggie if I can get it to work.

thanks

Hi RKnee,

The current release does have a few bugs but we’re expecting a new release imminently. Can you post a Screenshot of your CAS settings?

E

From your description I think that you are using CAS with an SSL-encrypted email account.

In which case the CAS and Outlook settings should be different. See this post if you are using it with a Gmail account.

https://forums.comodo.com/antispam/cas_does_not_work_with_gmail-t38681.0.html;msg291240#msg291240

But there are other bugs you may encounter. Some work-arounds in my post ‘CAS work arounds’ but you may be best to await the next version, as Eric says.

I agree this is potentially a very good program! Roll on the next version!

Please post your bugs under bug reports if you think different from those noted already.

Best wishes
