can't update my eset nod32 virus definitions files

Hi, just want to know if Comodo Firewall is blocking it, coz’ can’t update/auto update my eset nod32 virus definition files. Is Comodo Firewall compatible to eset nod32 and vice versa? How will I know that Comodo is not blocking my auto update of eset nod32? Are there any tutorial to this? Please help, thanks in advance.

Hi & welcome.

CFP shouldn’t have blocked anything, without asking you first. Have you checked if any Firewall rules or Defense+ rules have been created for nod32? Go to Firewall tab → Advanced tab → Network Security Policy, respectively Defense+ tab → Advanced tab → Computer Security Policy. If Comodo is blocking anything, it may be because of rules there.

Hi LA thanks for replying, I already checked CFP’s rules and it ain’t blocking anything against nod32 communication. I make nod32 as a trusted application is this the right thing to do? I also emailed the support of eset maybe the problem is with them. (:LGH)

Sure, you can make it a trusted app. To find out if the Firewall or Defense+ actually block nod32, you can try to disable them (disable separately without shutting down CFP). If you disable the Firewall though, maybe you should enable Windows Firewall to be sure that you don’t get attacked while testing nod with Comodo Firewall disabled.
