Can't uninstall/very odd behavior

Alright so before I get into the content, I want to say that i’m ONLY trying to uninstall because I can’t run the program. Trying to re-install tells me to uninstall, but I can’t >:(

Background info: I remember upgrading to the latest version of Comodo, and I think it upgraded successfully. However, after that moment, when I boot into Windows 7, TWO errors pop up instantly, even before the desktop loads; “Critical system failure. You have to reinstall COMODO Security Premium to fix this error.” I can’t do that. I also lost some icons when this happened, a lot of programs have the “missing file” icon on them.

So yeah I can’t uninstall because i get the error code 2755, and deleting the entire comodo registry, even with elevated system privileges, doesn’t work.

This first came to attention when I tried hosting a game in the PC game “Planetary Annihilation”, but, the “lobby” where people join the game never goes “public” so people can find the lobby. Go to https://palobby.com/ if you want to take a look at that. I though this issue could be because of COMODO not working, and somehow blocking out-going traffic.

Wtf is going on here? I don’t even…

When reinstalling CIS please follow Most Effective Way to Reinstall CIS to Avoid/Fix Problems by my colleague Chiron. It will provide a reliable and clean starting point.

Thanks, I followed all the steps, including removing the drivers from device manager, but the program still does not go away. Although there is one error this time when windows 7 64bit boots up. I ran the removal tool made by moderaters (the one with the UI) and typed in “I acknowledge the risks”, and the program immediately closed, just making sure that’s normal.

The problem is that Comodo firewall does not show up in the programs list to uninstall, and after uninstalling the COMODO Internet Security Firewall Driver and the helper one then restarting, they still appear in the device manager…

EDIT: I meant to say that i pressed “1” when using that uninstaller. Now when I try to re-install, it gives a separate error, something around the number of 1632 and it has to do with not enough space on the Temp folder, but I have 30GB of space left on my SSD…

Do you refer to the tool attached to Most Effective Way to Reinstall CIS to Avoid/Fix Problems? Or did you download it from another post?

Boot to Safe Mode and use the clean up tool that is attached to the opening post of Most Effective Way to Reinstall CIS to Avoid/Fix Problems to remove CIS. When done boot back to Windows.

Let us know if that solves or not.

Yeah that stuff worked already :stuck_out_tongue:

The only problem now is installing, I no longer get the previous error when trying to install. This time it says
[error]"Error: 1632. The temp folder is on a drive that is full for inaccessible. Free up space on the drive or verify that you have permission to write to the temp folder. "[/error]

I already made sure the temp folder is writable.
