Can't uninstall CIS ("cis_setup.msi" required)

I was trying to let my friend get access to my apache server. Being unable to do it I was trying to check Comodo firewall is it blocking, and found again that interface is bad (why - probably separate theme). To check maybe something changed or fixed updated to latest 5.12 (was not fast enough before to catch own CIS update popup).
Nothing changed, so I decided to uninstall CIS and check is apache and ping blocked by Comodo firewall: requires “cis_setup.msi” from temp folder (cleaned frequently, what the idiot and for who made that installer? Microsoft?).
Ok, probably I can install “cispremium_installer_x86.exe” (from last installation) to get msi and remove: no luck, I have newer version installed. Fine, fresh “cispremium_installer.exe” should help: no luck again, I should uninstall older version.

Now question: how should I uninstall CIS (now I guess permanently)? Maybe some big red sticky “here is your “cis_setup.msi””? Thanks.

I have a been.

1.Delete using Revo Free.
2. See whether the remains.
3. Delete the folder Shared Space. ( It is CIS 6 only)

If you have the skills to work with the registry. See the remains there.

Edit: Try to install the version that came before it

Was trying to install previous and latest. Revo not accurate anymore, I’ll try with “IObit Uninstaller”.

Thanks, Uninstaller Tool v0.3b was enough to uninstall, except by description tool suppose to be used after uninstall.

I have a problem with “msi” emerged only

When I was not completely removed CIS 6 and installed CIS 5. CIS 5 not work correctly and when you to remove CIS5 it is problem with “msi”.

I usually do not update version automatically but only with the removal of the previous one.

Thank. Success.

For problems with Windows installer you can use Windows Installer Clean Up utility. This tool cleans up all Windows installer related traces from your computer. It will allow you to run an (un)installer where it was getting blocked because it couldn’t find a needed file or says the products is already installed.

This tool does not uninstall a program.
