Greetings Baltazar1,
I got that error message while trying to install CIS2025 on Windows 8 which is not supported…
Did you upgrade to win10 or its a direct install of win10?
Do you sometimes empty those directories:
Windows button + r: temp
Windows button + r: %temp%
Windows button + r: prefetch
Have you tried settings your DNS for COMODO’s one before looking for Windows updates?
- Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings > right click your adapter then “Properties” > left click IPv4 then “Properties” > Use the following DNS server addresses:
8.26.56.26
8.20.247.20
Do you sometimes run:
- CCleaner > Custom Clean > uncheck “Memory Dumps” and “Windows Log Files” > Analyze > Run Cleaner (might have to disable “Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed” and “Startup Boost” under Edge’s settings: Edge > three dots button (top right) > Settings)
- CCleaner > Tools > Registry > scan for issues (run it multiple times until no errors are found)
- Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Disk Cleanup > “Previous Windows installation” (if Windows was upgraded) + possibly “Device driver packages” (before running dism scans down below)

MSERT: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/defender-endpoint/safety-scanner-download?view=o365-worldwide - Powershell: dism /online /cleanup-image /checkhealth
- Powershell: dism /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
- Powershell: dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth (if issues detected with …/scanhealth above)
- CMD: sfc /scannow
