Cannot run .exe as admin in COMODO container from local user Windows session

Greetings,

I was thinking to use CIS sandbox in order to test a software on a local Windows user session on Windows 10. Unfortunately, right clicking the .exe and choosing to “Run in COMODO container” prompts “Software name requires that your computer is running Windows 10 or later” and the installation aborts. If I right click the .exe and select “Run as administrator” it proceeds with the installation without a problem (suggesting that the full functionality of the software is restricted by CIS sandbox).

As an attempt to overcome that issue, if I right click the .exe, select “Properties” and under the “Compatibility” tab set the .exe to “Run this program as an administrator”, then right clicking the .exe and selecting “Run in COMODO container” does nothing. :expressionless:

As another attempt to overcome the issue, I tried to launch the Virtual Desktop (via CIS) first then right cliking the .exe from within the Virtual Desktop and selecting “Run as administrator” prompts “C:\ … \ … .exe The request is not supported”.

  1. Is there a reason why softwares cannot be run with admin rights in CIS sandbox while on local user Windows session?

  2. Could CIS be updated to allow softwares to run as admin in CIS sandbox while on local Windows user session and when launching softwares with admin right from within the Virtual Desktop (on the same windows session)?

Thanks in advance,
Regards,
