I have the pay version of CIS installed on a laptop I don’t use very often. I tried to update the license code today without sucess. I get a message that the program needs to contact the comodo license centerand to check my internet connection. The internet connection is fine. My hardwall firewall log does not show any blocked attempt by the computer to access the internet. I get the same issue with wireless and wired connection.
Oddly, one of my browsers (seamonkey) cannot connect to comodo.com at all. I have no problem connecting to comodo.com with firefox.
What do I do to get this license key installed?
Since I have not heard from anyone as of yet, today I uninstalled CIS and reinstalled it. I get the same error about not having an internet connection to be able to connect to the license server. This is nonsense since I have no problem using two different browsers.
There is no security software running on this laptop at the moment, so there is nothing else that might be blocking the connection attempt. There is nothing in my hardware firewall logs either to indicate that the computer is trying to get through to somewhere and being blocked.

This is CIS 5.12 on windows xp 32-bit.
As I said in my last post, I uninstalled CIS in case the issue was the CIS firewall blocking the connection. The installer quits immediately after I enter my license code because it says it can’t connect to the license server.
