Can I install v3.12.111745.560 over v3.5.54375.427?

I currently run CIS v3.5.54375.427. I just downloaded CIS v3.12.111745.560, can I install it over the old one to update?

Given the changes between 3.5 and 3.12, I would say no. In any event, I suspect the 3.12 installer will want to uninstall 3.5 first anyway. Usually the only way to “upgrade” between CIS versions is to use CIS’s internal update mechanism… and I don’t think that is possible, or even wise, between 3.5 and 3.12. Sorry.

Thanks, but does this mean Export/Import Configuration doesn’t work as well? Do I need to recreate all rules?

Dont use the Export/Import feature from 3.5 to 3.12 it will create problems, Yes you will need to recreate all the rules.
