IIRC, ver 3.x had the ability to exclude certain folders from scans and “on access” alerts. I can’t seem to find it in ver. 4.X. Is it still possible?
My problem is this. I have a folder that contains many small portable files and applications. All are pre-scanned and are safe before I put them in the folder. Many are stand-alone AV scanners which get a very high false positive rate. I have indicated they are “my own safe files”, but CIS will not stop ignoring them.
I would like to be able to exclude this folder and sub-folders from all Comodo surveillance and scans, but will take what I can get.
If it’s possible to exclude folders, I just need a hint where to find it.
Open your comodo Internet Security Premium (CISP) and click on antivirus button. Scanner settings and you should see the exclusion tab all the way on the right hand side
You sure it not being thrown inside the sandbox? If it is try closing/disabling the sandbox and rerun the application, Also try adding them to My trusted Vendor list in Defense+
I have a certain folder with sub filders that I need to back up 3 times per week. The folder contains many small virus and worm scanners, and other “special” utilities. These programs get a very high false positive rate.
When my backup program (FBackup) runs, it refuses to back up some of the files because Comodo is locking them.
I did add that folder to the CIS exclusions in the AV and Defense Plus modules, but they remain locked. I can execute the programs without getting an alert dialog.
Not getting the normal Comodo alerts. Getting a parade of small dialog boxes in the lower right of screen reporting many false positives for “malware”. That means that Comodo is still hitting on files in folders that I added to the exclusions.
Problem is, my backup program is blocked from backing up every program that Comodo hits on.
