Can auto-updating be disabled

I want to move my systems to Comodo Firewall from ZoneAlarm. The main reason is that ZA has started to inform me about updates even though I have explicitly disabled this feature.

So the my question re: Comodo’s Firewall are these …

  1. Can I prevent the Firewall from checking for and informing me about available updates?

  2. Will the Firewall actually honor this setting (if it exists).

Just uncheck the option.
