BUG (?) multiple copies of CAVSE.EXE running in parallel

My System: win xp home / sp 3(HP Pavilion zv6000)
Using: CFP 3.0.24.368
Using: CAVS 2.0 beta 2.0.17.58

See attached image from Sysinternals Process Explorer.
The “threads” associated with both cavse.exe processes are identical.

Is this a bug? Why would this be necessary?

EDIT: related somehow to post

Hi,

This isn’t a bug, it is how the software was designed. Running two processes allowed CAVS to use less CPU resources and fixed some issues.

Mike

It was also done to overcome certain bottlenecks when scanning certain types of files.
