hi all for some reason when i click brows support forum link in comodo it not open my browser seams to be only function not working in there. not a big deal but any help appreciated.
what’s your browser? anything blocked in the CFP logs?
When you click on that it will open your default browser. What is your default browser? I dont use that since I have the forum site bookmarked.
Safari is my default browser here nothing listed in logs
Why are you using Safari? Use Firefox.
i dont like firefox never worked good for me safari works just right and is fast for me here on my machine it seams faster then firefox.
What is your OS? Under Vista, at least, seems to open IE (which has never been my default browser; Opera is). What are your firewall settings for IE under firewall/advanced/network security policy?
os windows xp pro sp3 IE set to web-browser
Have you tried Firefox 3?
yeah did not like it i manly use a browser for surfing and playing videos so safari is just fine for that
wow it do-sent want to call on IE if i set IE as default it dose but if not for some reason it will not call upon IE maybe a bug for the developers to look at. no bigy i just set a book mark for it lol.
Doesn’t seem like a bug to me because my default browser is Opera and IE is my secondary :-TD browser, and I don’t have this problem.
When you click on the link, what happens? Nothing?
yup nothing but when i click it with ie default it works is wired did i get something blocked maybe?
Ensure your firewall rule on ‘COMODO Firewall Pro’ is something like Outgoing Only. I remember the default rule is Custom, which should also work…but if it works when you set IE as the default browser, it’s most likely not a problem with your firewall rules. If anything, it would be something with your Defense+ rules on cfp.exe
I think it’s a setting within Safari that you’ll have to find out.
Oops. I got it the other way around: it should be check your Defense+ rules on Safari
i did not see anything out of the ordinary in Defense+ rules on cfp.exe it set to custom were it was never touched it. i wonder what is keeping it from opening safari up. other applications open it up all the time its strange.
Read my last post. I made a correction plus I’m attaching a pic. So instead of Opera.exe, look for the Safari executable and start by double-clicking it.

Based on the Vista behavior with Opera, it should call up IE no matter what the default browser is. Take a look at your IE settings.
did that no dice not sure what up very strange IE defense plus set for custom is wired indeed not sure what i can do here i guess it broken lol .
Try deleting your Defense+ rules on Safari, click Apply button on all proceeding windows, exit and restart Safari, then click on the link again.
