BOC update problem [Resolved]

Perhaps this is not the right place for this problem, but I’m new here.

For reasons unknown, BOC suddenly refuses to update, advising me to check my firewall settings. Obviously BOC has permission, so why this result?
Removing BOC from the Comodo FW permissions does not result in the FW asking for advice when trying to update BOC again, so apparently the update request never even reaches the FW.
The FW itself refuses to update, reporting ‘Error 106’, whatever that may be.

Can anyone help?

Garry, sadly the svchost trick did not help. A brave attempt, but no such luck.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the FW has not resolved the problem either and probably my FW is now an older version- which cannot be updated…

BOC refuses to update, as before. I’ve run out of ideas.


Rather late in the day I decided to check other messages in this forum. Found another trick:

Are you using Internet Explorer? If not:

  1. Open Internet internet explorer
  2. Click FILE
  3. Uncheck WORK OFFLINE
