Block all compoment is almost impossible

Dear All:

When I install a package, I found Comodo reports it added many (>50) dll into component monitor. If I need to block this package from access internet, I think I should also block all its components, ONE BY ONE, manually. It’s almost impossible since sometimes I have no idea the name of it.

How to solve it or a shortcut exist?

Thanks.

Scott

Scott,

That would surely be a nightmare! At any rate, no you don’t have to block components one by one to block the application. Just change the Application Monitor rule for that application from Allow to Block. Done.

The components can’t connect by themselves, and the application can’t connect if it’s not allowed.

In this thread: https://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,6167.0.html there’s a topic explaining CFP’s layered rules; this may help you get a better idea of how it all works.
