Better New Tab Page

Hello all.

I would suggest a better new tab page. Currently, it only show the 8th most visited sites.

It would be nice to:
a) be able to configure how many sites it can show (# of columns and lines)
b) be able to pin some sites there, no matter how visited they are

There are quite a few ‘New Tab Page’ extensions available to add functionality.
A couple of examples below, also searching the Chrome Web Store might find other suitable extensions.
