OK ![]()
Hey, canāt even remember when we (in this thread) last discussed actual options in nLite. I hardly know anymore what this thread is about. ???
LA
Nothing anymore. Weāve already achieved the godly level. But if you insist on continuing, youāll fall down like that CFP gui bug. (cough).
Letās keep it open for nLite newbies! ![]()
LA
Right, my friend,
letās keep it open 'til everyone has reached his personal godlike status ![]()
But why not file it under āimportantā topics? (just because āradio stationsā seems more important at the momentā¦, aināt this funny?)
Cheers
Great idea REBOL, newbies can benefit from reading this topic - at least the first few pages. (:LGH)

Just discovered this being on page 2. (:TNG)
Now, what a crime⦠:THNK
Hi Guys,
I would like to try this- Is there a tutorial on how to successfully use it?
Josh
Is that a rip-off from nLite ???
Or do you mean this?:

Yep, I mean that.
But I am looking for an installation guideā¦
Josh
Hi josh,
Ive only just done my first(well onto version 3) nlite xp about 2 weeks ago.Its actually reasonably straightforward as it guides you along step by step.
The easiest way i found was to use your xp disc in the drive which it then takes all the info needed. One thing that did confuse me was how to slipstream sp3 into it.Anyway when you get to the option about service packs/hotfixes you need to click on the link then find the Service pack 3 download for networking and admin(something like that),it is around 300mb,download it to your desktop.Found it, it`s KB 936929-SP3-X86-ENU
Then it asks to click on the executable.Go to this on your desktop and click on it and it integrates it automatically, then you go through the removal options :-TU
I`m sure if you need any advise along the way Soya/LA/Ragwing/⦠are the dogs whatsits when it comes to nliteing and they give some sound advise.
Just one other thing make sure you select create ISO.
Happy nliteing,Matty :ā ā ā ā
Installation is easy, but take it slowly. VERY slowly. You want to explore/examine each option carefully. It took me 3 runs to perfect (as much to my needs) as possible on my first burned CD (:KWL)
!ot!
Keep the board clean.
Why doubling threads?
Cheers.
Thanks for reminder.

Amusingly fast reply and action ![]()
Only possible at COMODO.
Cheers friend ![]()
By the way, Matty, I would not recommend slipstreaming SP3 into your new nLite ISO.
Rather get a collection of necessary updates (this DOES, indeed, require way more time) and integrate them at YOUR command. Donāt ever let MS decide whatās necessary for you and what is not.
After successful install, get yourself a (working!) bootable DVD image of your first sys partition.

Slipstreaming in SP3 seemed to work OK, but I did go through carefully and remove some items.
It was a bit easier as I discovered how to use nLite and also realised that a compilation could be run throughnLite multiple times to do some tweaking.
AFAIK thereās nothing too nasty lin there.
ā¦and I, on the other hand, do recommend slipstreaming SP3. Though itās only based upon my own experience which is a positive one.

Not all of us define positive experiences with the celebration of a certain bottle.
Obvious.
