My Number One Concern with any AV/FW is that it Never Interfere with my Online MMO Video Game Experience.
NOBODY uses a ‘Manual’ Game Mode?, I sure don’t, Its a PITA. When I’m playing MMO’s I’m online & off all day, you literally expect people to Remember/Be Bothered to go to the taskbar or whatever, Enable Game Mode, log-on to your game, maybe have to log right back out or hours later, go back to the taskbar & Disable Game Mode?.. OPP!?! I got time to play again!, repeat… Its a PITA & Un-Practical.
Most Free let alone Paid are Fully Automatic right now, Please include CIS ASAP?. TY.
Rawlu, please, read what the Game Mode is. Game Mode switches Firewall and Defence+ to Training Mode. Is this actually what you need? What for me, I don’t want to receive alot of suddenly automatically created rules.
Does it really do that? I just switched to it and then checked the Firewall setting and it was still in Safe Mode. I thought the only thing it did was turn off all alerts and make CIS make decisions automatically, not to allow everything like Training Mode does.
i dont think it does here is a quote from the help file
Game Mode - Switches CIS 2013 to Game Mode to enable you to play your games without any interruptions from various alerts in your computer. The operations that can interfere with users' gaming experience are either suppressed or postponed.
In game mode:
Defense+/Firewall alerts are suppressed.
AV database updates and scheduled scans are postponed until the gaming is over;
Automatic isolation of unknown applications and real-time virus detection are still functional.
I guess it depends on where in the help file you are looking…
This page (the first entry you see after a search for “Game Mode”) says:

Deactivate Game Mode to resume alerts and scheduled scans.
Whereas this page says basically what you’ve quoted, except instead of saying “CIS 2013”, it says “CIS 6.0”.
When game mode was first introduced i remember someone saying it worked like the help file says that i quoted. Comodo definitely needs to correct the help file so its not contradicting itself. Only way to figure out which is right is to test it. Maybe someone wants to test it?
I don’t think that Game mode should automatically make stuff to training mode. I think it would be best to suppress alerts. Automatically blocking unrecognized programs and allowing known safe ones instead. It would be nice for comodo to detect full screen apps and automatically go to game mode.
