I’ve recently upgraded my BT Home Hub from 2.0 to 4.0 and while I was finishing registering it I was offered by BT to download it’s Desktop Help program from it’s official site.
I accepted, downloaded it and while installing it Comodo discovered this suspicious file which it claimed to be Malware: Suspicious@#3|81jda176qbl
and it is located in C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Temp\AXB.exe
Naturally Comodo quarantined it and when I came to remove said file it was not in quarantine. So I had performed a Comodo scan followed by a Malwarebytes scan and found nothing at all.
So did comodo block and/or removed it, was it just a false positive or should I be worrying?
I would love to but the file is not on my pc and I have checked. I have also double checked comodo and the file in not in quarantine not can I locate it on search even though comodo’s log states it detected and quarantined it.
My guess would be that there is nothing to worry about. This was likely a false positive anyway.
Also, as it’s in the temp folder, perhaps the installer was actually in the process of removing the temp file at the same time that CIS detected it. Therefore, perhaps it was removed in that way.
Either way, I wouldn’t be too worried about it. Let us know if you see any other suspicious behavior on your computer.
