You have no idea what you are talking about, first off I will ignore your lack of spelling and grammar, you might be from another country.
But secondly comodo did not fail, YOU DID, you allowed it, not comodo. Hooking cannot automatically be allowed, by hooking you bypass all security products, the only way some of them pass is by using a behavior blocker that sees it trying to hook and blocks it. Comodo is just asking you about the hooking. let me say this again, in bold so you can understand, YOU FAILED BECAUSE YOU ALLOWED IT, IF YOU DID NOTHING COMODO WOULD AUTOMATICALLY BLOCK IT AFTER 120 SECONDS. I am a fan but also know how the application works, until you know how it works you can’t talk.
Each alert has its purpose. This is not about being a fan or not, it’s not if you’re advanced or not; it is to read and do what is mentioned on the alert. Nothing more!
I do not think there is or will be in this world any product that protects without user intervention.
You can disagree and have a good argument. I have never disabled comments on my videos, have i banned some people, yes I have because interestingly enough those people would all be quiet until I started showing some videos about comodo products and they would all come out of the wood work and just blab on about how much comodo sucks and this and that. I seems to me there are people out there who really hate comodo for some reason. I think the reason is that they paid for years for products and now comodo offers free products that are better then what they paid for so it makes them feel stupid and what do they do, attack the company so they don’t feel dumb.
I could understand some of their points, but felt the video was low class. Now the removal of the comments?!?! Very lame. They have lost credibility with me going forward.
languy99- Great reply to MOVEAX’s half baked accusations against CIS there many more of his attacks listed point by point here perhaps you could set the record straight with regards to the validity of the comments of this persistent enemy of Comodo Software.
the notification is pretty much explains itself , it’s saying that’s commonly used by malware , it’s not saying it’s a malware because simply comodo doesn’t judge the file when it’s unknown , unlike the others , take norton for example , since it’s a new file ( it will block it ) and will say it’s a high risk and if you don’t believe me , go ahead and try make a small program in VB.Hint : don’t give a lot of effort just design the the interface and put some “dummy” buttons , compile it , and run it with norton and comodo
and see what the difference between default “Deny” and default" Block " !!
people are testing against only malware I test against legitimate programs known and unknown to see the usability
exactly, when norton does not know what the program is it says it’s high risk and blocks it, guess who else operates like that, BluePoint security. By telling the user the program is high risk you are scaring them when the program could be just fine, but just an unknown program. So in essence these other programs basically are scaring the user into only running the programs they say are fine and nothing else. Comodo on the other hand goes, well we don’t know what it is, here is what it is trying to do, malware sometimes uses this to attack your computer, if you are not sure block it.
BS, my videos got spammed before and Youtube did nothing. Please, they are not hiding behind youtube. And also if youtube would close the comments I’m sure it would say “comments have been automatically disabled by youtube because of spamming”. But they don’t do that, if a comment is spam, just that commend is hidden, it’s not even removed so you can still read it if you want.
MOVEAX I don’t think the alert message is poor but this Comodo alert tab box is telling it dangerous and it a malware etc etc just look at the picture red danger mine showing over the Comodo shield, I’m starting to see a clear picture what Comodo is telling me.
yup, there are yellow and red alerts from comodo, yellow means proceed with caution red means, “hey stupid, stop what you are doing and read me carefully, whatever this is could really hurt your security.” LOL. I don’t get how people obey stop signs and red lighst but a red pop up from a AV, they don’t care they hit allow.
Languy99 can you please post a yellow alert so I can see the difference between the red alert as I’m starting to understand how comodo works as a picture telling us a story as a warning!
Edit:- I never had a red alert coming from a Defense+ since I’ve been using Comodo however I have seen many red alert showing from a firewall section
