The European Institute for Computer Antivirus Research (EICAR) has made sample malware files available to help examine security software abilities.
In double the time, Bitdefender scans over 4 million unique system items.
Comodo scans around a quarter of the number of items for its full scan which takes half the time.
Although Bitdefender did a great job, other competitors in the market didn’t do so well in this overall comparison, with Comodo highlighted in bold.
When you consider that it managed to pick up all the threats, perhaps the lower number of items is just a reflection of Comodo’s streamlined product
