Amazon Player Broken - Widevine Content Decryption Module not detected

OS: Windows 10, 64 bit
Security software: Windows Defender

How to produce:Attempt to play a video on Amazon Prime. Any Amazon video results in this error.

What is going on:
Amazon Prime’s video player is broken in IceDragon. My friend using the same OS and browser is seeing the same error. It’s not just me. Icedragon seems to not be loading/accessing Widevine correctly.

Trying to play any video on Amazon turns up an error:

[i]"Your web browser is missing a digital rights component.

In your web browser’s address bar, type about:addons, press Enter, and then on the left, click Plugins. For the Widevine Content Decryption Module, select Always Activate, and then refresh the video’s page and try watching the video.

If the video doesn’t play, go back to Plugins, click the gear icon at the top of the page, and then click Check for Updates. When the plugins have updated, refresh the video’s page, and then try watching the video.

Attempts to fix
I checked my plugins. I have Widevine and it is activated. I turned widevine on/off and reloaded my bowser. The error is still there.

I’ve also had this problem.

I just installed this browser today (on Windows 8.1 64 bit) as I was having this issue on firefox. Dont know if that will help track down the issue any better. But I hope you can fix this problem as it appears this browser is better than firefox but i wont be able to use it unless i can play Amazon video.

Hello, 3tails thank you for reporting this issue, i will take a look over it and come back with an answer,
