I’ve given Alg. exe permission on the Application Monitor (TCP/UDP in) but now I have a doubt; after searching in Internet, I’ve read it’s needed by Windows Firewall but I have the Win Firewall turned off so why should it ask to connect?
Do other computers connect through your computer to access the internet? If not, you can disable the “Application Layer Gateway Service” service.
Alg.exe is not needed by most systems. It offers support for 3rd party plugins for ICS and Windows Firewall.
It is safe to disable it.
