Alert sound is pretty confusing.

It’s a good idea, but the sound itself sounds like incoming skype message sound. I often confuse them, especially when full-screen program is running.

1.The location of the file is
C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\sounds\alert.wav

2.You can untick this one in the picture.

If they would register this sound to the Windows Sound Scheme users would be able to easily change it, and or mute it etc.
Avast did the same in the past, not sure if they still use it or not.

Nope, they don’t use it like that anymore…

But you do have quite good control over the sounds in settings itself. You can disable them for individual actions so you can for example keep them for updates but not for virus detections. Or the other way around. Or you can completelly turn it off.

what about renaming a custom sound to alert.wav and replacing the original one , will it work?
